OGGETTO DEL BANDO
Il bando prevede applications in ogni ambito di ricerca. I bandi ERC si basano sul principio del "bottom-up" senza priorità predeterminate. L'unico criterio valido è quello dell'eccellenza scientifica, applicata a ricerche di frontiera dall'impatto "ground-breaking", e con caratteristiche "High risk/high gain". Si intende finanziare dunque progetti di ricerca indipendente ed eccellente, su temi liberamente scelti, secondo una prospettiva pioneristica e interdisciplinare, nonché un approccio innovativo e non convenzionale.
L’attività deve essere condotta presso un’organizzazione di ricerca pubblica o privata (Host Institution). Questa può essere l'organizzazione dove il ricercatore già lavora, o qualsiasi altra HI locata in uno degli Stati Membri EU o Associated Countries.
SOGGETTI DESTINATARI E REQUISITI
Ricercatori senior, leaders nel loro settore e che hanno raggiunto diversi e significativi risultati scientifici negli ultimi 10 anni, così come elencati in questo "ten year track record":
1. Up to ten representative publications, from the last ten years, as main author
(or in those fields where alphabetic order of authorship is the norm, joint author)
in major international peer-reviewed multi-disciplinary scientific journals and/or
in the leading international peer-reviewed journals and peer-reviewed conference
proceedings of their respective research fields (properly referenced, field relevant
bibliometric indicators may also be included); preprints may be included, if freely
available from a preprint server (preprints should be properly referenced and either
a link to the preprint or a DOI should be provided).
2. Research monographs and any translations thereof;
3. Granted patents;
4. Invited presentations to internationally established conferences and/or
internationaladvanced schools;
5. Research expeditions that the applicant Principal Investigator has led;
6. Organisation of international conferences in the field of the applicant (membership
in thesteering and/or organising committee);
7. Prizes, awards, academy memberships;
8. Major contributions to the early careers of excellent researchers;
9. Examples of leadership in industrial innovation or design.DURATA PROGETTI
