Temi di ricerca
Valentina Romanzi is a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Turin and an Adjunct Professor of English at the University of Verona. She holds a PhD in Transcultural Studies in the Humanities from the University of Bergamo. She specializes in contemporary popular culture, with a particular focus on utopias, dystopias and (post-)apocalyptic fiction. Her latest book, American Nightmares: Dystopia in Twenty-First-Century US Fiction (2022), has recently been published by Peter Lang. She is currently researching nonhuman narrators and has just co-edited a special issue on the topic for the journal ContactZone.She is an editor at Iperstoria. Journal of American and English Studies, and a member of the Scientific Committee of ContactZone. Journal of the Italian Association on Science Fiction and the Fantastic.
Her research activity at the University of Turin focuses on the management of the project "Narrating climate change", which involves students and teachers of the Turin area to raise awareness especially of the lack of water in the Piedmont area.
